Oran, a Scottish singer-songwriter based in Moray, continues her musical journey with release of her highly anticipated album, ‘Rebellious Rebirth’, set to debut in September.

Diagnosed with complex PTSD in 2023, Oran embarked on a journey of healing and self-exploration, leading her to follow her heart to writing music. Oran found solace in music making and a way to navigate the challenges of PTSD, turning her pain into creative expression. Oran hopes her music can provide support and inspire others to do the same.

Following the debut of her first single, ‘Falsely Faithful’, in March, Oran captivated audiences with her raw talent and poignant storytelling, earning acclaim for her unique blend of blues melodies and rock beats. Her new single ‘Set Free’ builds on this momentum, offering listeners another glimpse into Oran’s personal and musical evolution.

Inspired by her own experiences and struggles, Oran’s music serves as a powerful testament to the healing potential of art. Like her debut single, ‘Set Free’ is infused with authenticity and vulnerability, inviting listeners to embark on a journey of self-discovery and liberation.

Reflecting on her creative process, Oran shares, “After the overwhelming response to ‘Falsely Faithful’, I knew I wanted to share more of my story with my audience. ‘Set Free’ is a continuation of my healing journey, a declaration of love, liberation and renewal. I hope it resonates with others who may be navigating their own paths toward healing.”

Oran’s captivating sound and introspective lyrics have already garnered attention from industry insiders, with Phoebe I-H of BBC Music Introducing Scotland praising her “blues rock influences” and urging audiences to keep an ear out for her music.

Scottish musician, composer, producer, and BBC Scotland Radio Presenter Anna Massie played Oran’s SOON TO BE RELEASED SINGLE ‘A Mirror’ on her travelling Folk show and said, “…we’ve got a treat for your soul from an artist and sonic story teller called Oran”.

As Oran prepares to unveil her debut album “Rebellious Rebirth,” at this year’s opening concert of the Findhorn Bay Arts Festival, anticipation continues to build within the music community.
