Press Release

Jude Edwin-Scott is a singer, songwriter and guitarist based in the North West. He has a gentle, laid-back style built around his distinctive voice and intricate English finger-style guitar playing. Rambling Rose is his 7th studio album, featuring 10 original songs.

My own walks in the Cheshire countryside and the writings of Robert Macfarlane inspired the title track of the album. This theme of returning back to nature is prevalent throughout the songs on this album. But some songs also reflect the turbulent times we’ve experienced in the last few years. Inequality Blues was written for the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy in London, a call to stop governments putting profit first and people last. The song Little Princes is reflecting on the incredible journeys refugees make to find a safe haven. Some songs, like Green Man, reflect on my personal experience of the pandemic.” – Jude Edwin-Scott

Jude’s songs and articulate lyrics are intelligent, passionate and reflect his love of nature. His acoustic guitar work shows his strong affinity for the music of the great Nic Jones. He is an artist of grace and stature, and a thoroughly nice bloke to boot! Chester Folk Festival
