The album’s name, The Five Day Weekend, harks back to an old expression referring to the musician’s lifestyle during the winter months, where the weekend would extend beyond the conventional working life. During the album’s production, Church Street Shuffle joined forces with Barry Reid, a seasoned recording engineer, and producer. Neil’s musical journey began at the National Centre for Excellence in Plockton, where he honed his skills before pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Applied Music at Strathclyde University.
